OVERVIEW

Enjoy the best of Ica and Paracas in 2 days; You will get to know the local culture of Ica up close, visiting a typical tile and chocoteja candy store, the oldest vineyard in America, a local artisanal vineyard, the mystical town of Cachiche, and the Oasis of America (dunes, adventure and a beautiful sunset). . Furthermore, on the second day you will embark towards the Ballestas Islands, and you will tour the Paracas National Reserve in minibugies.

HIGHLIGHTS

You will get to know the local culture of Ica up close, with a tile workshop at “La Casa de las Tejas”.

Visit the Tacama Winery, considered the first vineyard in South America, and also the Nietto Winery, for local wine and pisco tasting.

You will get to know the Oasis of America, surrounded by the dunes of Ica, where you can take a private ride in ROV’s (Polaris type) and go sandboarding.

Sail through the Ballestas Islands, appreciating the diversity of marine fauna and feeling the sea breeze on your face.

ITINERARY

06:00 A.M. Departure from Lima to Ica from the CDS bus terminal.

10:40 a.m. Arrival to Ica. Pick up from the bus terminal to start the tour of the city of Ica and surroundings.

We will begin the tour visiting “La Casa de las Tejas”, where we will have a brief explanation of the making process of the tejas and chocotejas, and we will have a workshop to make our own teja or chocoteja.

Next, we will go to the TACAMA vineyard, to learn about its history, classic winery, modern plant and production process for its wines and piscos, having the opportunity to try some of them. Then, we will visit the “Nietto” artisanal wine cellar, where we will learn about the process of making our flagship drink “pisco” and we will learn to taste the pisco creams and macerates.

Free time for lunch. Later, we will visit the Cachiche Theme Park where we will discover the legend of the Witch of Cachiche and the Palm Tree of Seven Heads.

To close the day, we will go to the Huacachina Lagoon where we will enjoy the desert landscape of Ica and the Huacachina oasis, we will also have an exclusively private adventure touring the Ica dunes in a off road recreational vehicle, and we will practice sandboarding.

6:00 P.M. approx. End of the tour and transfer to your hotel in Ica.

06:00 – 07:00 A.M. : We start the tour with the pick up from your hotel, to go to Paracas.

Upon arrival at the “El Chaco” pier in Paracas, we will start the tour visiting the Ballestas Islands through a motorized slider. An excursion of almost 2 hours, where we will know “El Candelabro”, a geoglyph that will surprise us. Also, we will observe a great variety of marine fauna such as: tendrils, seagulls, pelicans, a family of Humboldt penguins and sea lions. Back at Chaco pier, travelers will have free time to have breakfast or walk along the pier as they wish.

Then we start the tour of the land circuit to the Paracas National Reserve in a minibuggy, the tour lasts 2 hours (La Catedral viewpoint, Yumaque beach, Punta Santa María and Red beach (the mini buggy can only be occupied by 2 people). At the end of the tour you will have free time for lunch.

2:15 P.M. End of the tour approximately. You will be dropped off at the Paracas bus terminal to take the CDS bus back to Lima.

The reservation is confirmed with payment of 50% of the service 15 days before the trip and the remaining 50% 3 days before the trip.
Rates not valid for holidays in Peru such as: January 1, May 1, Holy Thursday and Good Friday, July 28 and 29, November 1, December 24, December 25 and December 31.
Changes and cancellations are allowed up to 48 hours after the reservation, otherwise the services that allow it will be evaluated, subject to penalties and administrative charges.
