Historical Callao Tour

OVERVIEW

A cultural experience touring the most emblematic of Callao, the First Port of Peru. We will visit the Royal Felipe Fortress, the Abtao Submarine, the famous and historic Callao Monumental, which stands out for its art galleries, picturesque buildings and varied cuisine. Here you can try ceviche and dance salsa. An experience with a lot of history, rhythm and flavor!

HIGHLIGHTS

We will visit a fortress that has existed for more than 2 centuries, built in colonial times to defend the port of Callao from pirates and privateers.

You will walk through the historic streets of Callao with a local guide, to learn about the history and culture of the first port.

You can enjoy a delicious ceviche with a view of the sea, in the La Punta district.

ITINERARY

8:00 A.M. Pick up from your hotel to transfer to Callao.

Our first stop will be La Fortaleza del Real Felipe, a symbol of Callao and all of Peru for being the only military construction from the viceregal era (dating back to the mid-18th century).

Then we will walk to Callao Monumental, where we will visit Calle Gálvez, the urban art galleries, Plaza Constitución, its main church, the lighthouse, among others.

We will also visit the Abtao Submarine, and we will make an exciting entry through the bow hatch, led by a guide from the Peruvian Navy.

Transfer to the Chucuito neighborhood of Italian immigrants with picturesque houses built since the 19th century. Visit to Punta, the smallest district of Callao.

Finally, we will arrive at La Punta, where we can have lunch and enjoy the beautiful view of the sea. Some dishes that we will find are ceviche, jellies, chicken, meats, pizzas, chifa, and embers.

4:00 P.M. Approximate return to Lima, to be dropped off at your hotel.

You can pay for your reservation by depositing it into our bank accounts, Izipay link or PayPal (which will allow you to pay with cards and PayPal accounts), and in cash (exceptional cases).
Changes and cancellations can be made up to 48 hours after the reservation is made (subject to penalty), after that time cancellations are not allowed, and there are no refunds.
Hotel pickups are in Miraflores, San Isidro and Downtown Lima, pick up and drop off at your hotel. Pick-ups are in central hotels. Check if your hotel is on the pick-up route before confirming the reservation.
