OVERVIEW

During this tour you will visit the Archaeological Sanctuary of Pachacamac, which imposes with its majestic constructions that endure over time. You will discover its importance and feel the mysticism that surrounds it, because this place was the main sanctuary of the central coast of Peru for more than a thousand years. In addition, you will visit its site museum that shows the main archaeological findings among other outstanding elements such as the series of Inca quipus.

The Archaeological Sanctuary of Pachacamac has a great amount of ancient structures among temples, palaces, pyramids, aqueducts, cemeteries, squares, streets, etc.

ITINERARY

We will pick you up from your hotel to start at 9:00 a.m. our journey to Pachacamac. During the route we will see the contrast that exists between the districts of the city of Lima, and appreciate other landscapes. Our guide will be ready to comment and explain to you about the places that we will appreciate during the route.

Arriving at our destination, we will enter to the Pachacamac Site Museum, where we will learn with our guide the importance of this Sanctuary, and appreciate the main archaeological findings, among which are the idol of Pachacamac and the door of cloth ornamented with Spondylus shells, as well as ceramic offerings and the series of Inca quipus. After that, we will start our walk through the Archaeological Sanctuary of Pachacamac to be dazzled by the imposing buildings and the mysticism that they keep. We will visit the administrative zone, in which we will find the temple called the Acllahuasi, where “The chosen ones of the sun” lived, the Taurichumpi Palace and the pyramid with ramp n°1. We will also visit the ceremonial zone, represented by the painted temple and we will make a walk around the temple of the sun. At the end of our tour we will return to drop you off at your hotel.

This tour is only available on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
You should consider that the Museum and Sanctuary of Pachacamac, only accept visits by reservation, so it may affect the service. We will inform you of availability before booking.
Rates not valid for holidays in Peru such as: January 1st, May 1st, Holy Thursday and Good Friday, July 28th and 29th, November 1st, December 24th, December 25th, and December 31st.

All reservations are confirmed with the payment of 50% of the tour, 4 days before the service. The remaining 50% can be paid one day before the tour. Last minute bookings please consult us.
You can pay for your booking through deposit to our bank accounts, an Izipay or PayPal link (which allows you to pay with credit and debit cards and PayPal accounts), and in cash (in exceptional cases).

Changes can be made up to 48 hours before the service, without penalty. Does not apply to last minute reservations.

Cancellations can be made up to 48 hours before the service with a penalty of 10 USD. After that time no cancellations are allowed, and there are no refunds. Does not apply to last minute reservations.
