OVERVIEW

Destination full of nature, where we will enjoy a boat ride on the river, meet the animals that live in the Fundo Pedrito, Botanical walk to appreciate the flora and fauna.

HIGHLIGHTS

Fundo Pedrito, the owners of this farm preserve for conservation some animals such as paiches, piranhas, caimans, turtles, parrots, macaws, anacondas, and the famous Victoria Regia plant.

The indigenous community “Yaguas” is one of the 23 indigenous communities that exist in the Amazon.

Piranha fishing and others. This relaxing sport is practiced in an artisanal way as the indigenous communities of the area do or with the indigenous communities of the area or with the instruments that you require for a pleasant sport fishing.

ITINERARY

Day 1

Transfer from the airport or hotel to the city of Iquitos where you will receive a short description of the city on your way to the route to the pier to begin our journey.

Boat ride on the Nanay River until we reach the majestic Amazon River, the largest in the world, arriving at our first stop.

Visit to Fundo Pedrito, the owners of this farm preserve for conservation some animals such as paiches, piranhas, caimans, turtles, parrots, macaws, anacondas, and the famous Victoria Regia plant.

Lunch at Avatar Amazon Lodge

Botanical hike or canoe ride We have professional native guides who know all the trails in the area. You will be able to observe typical flora and fauna of the area and learn about the multiple uses that the local people give to each plant.

Dinner at Avatar Amazon Lodge Enjoy a delicious dinner and our cozy bar.

Night excursion At nightfall you will be guided by hike or canoe through the mysterious jungle in order to observe
tarantulas, cicadas, spiders, praying mantis, as well as the songs of the owls and the “ayaymamas” and sounds of nocturnal animals.

Day 2

Excursion at sunrise 4:30am (weather permitting) where we can enjoy the sunrise in this wonderful landscape

Birdwatching This morning tour will take you to observe and learn about the typical birds of the area in all their splendor.

Don’t forget to bring your camera and keep quiet so as not to scare the animals away.

Breakfast 8am return to our ecolodge to enjoy a delicious breakfast Visit to the “MIRADOR” of Avatar with 26 meters.
from where you can appreciate a wonderful view of the jungle AVATAR AMAZON PARK awaits us! where you can jump through the five lines of Zipline or zip line, 2 suspension bridges, 1 climbing net and rappel down from 25 meters … an experience full of adrenaline! Maximum weight 100kgs.

Excursion to the Animal Reserve
free we will visit this original space where the monkeys will be waiting for you to have fun and get to have fun and get some of their attention. We will also observe macaws, monkeys, parrots, sloths and the very feared sloths and the very feared anaconda or boa constrictor.

Swimming in the Amazon River
10 minutes away from the ecolodge is the majestic Amazon River where you can swim in its warm waters and spend some time watching such a spectacular and unique landscape.

Mud treatment (in summer) On the shores of the Amazon River we will find small islands where you can enjoy an excellent enjoy an excellent bath and mud treatment for your skin in this fabulous natural spa that the jungle has to offer. Don’t forget your bathing suit.

Observation of pink and gray dolphins. Day 3

Breakfast 8:00 am at Avatar Amazon.

Walk in the jungle. Exploration to the “La Ceiba de la Selva” tree or known by the indigenous people as Huimba with
almost 500 years old and an imposing height of up to 160 feet and 10 feet in diameter.

Tarzan’s Liana will look for Tarzan’s lianas to have some fun simulating his movements.

Lunch. 1:00pm at Avatar Amazon Lodge.

Transfer 2:30pm navigating the Amazon River for 2 hours approximately, return to your hotel in Iquitos or to the airport directly.

  • Price per person based on double or triple occupancy.
  • There is no P.O.S. at the lodge, all meals must be paid in cash.
  • Drinks are not allowed in the Lodge.
  • The starting time of the tour is 9:30am APROX and return to the city 4:30pm APROX, if your flight schedules do not fit the schedules of the Tour you must arrange to stay in the city or will be charged the additional extra fee to the package of S./250 per way/boat due to transportation outside the established schedule.
  • Surcharge for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, December 31st and New Year’s Eve $ 65.00 per day per person.
  • Children up to 11 years of age, accompanied by 02 adults, are considered children’s rate.
    We have boots up to size 47 (13). Other sizes please bring them.

  • All reservations are confirmed with the payment of 50% of the service, 30 days before the trip, the remaining 50% can be paid up to 15 days before the service.
  • You can make the payment of your reservation by deposit to our bank accounts, or an Izipay/PayPal link (which will allow you to pay with credit cards and PayPal accounts).
  • CANCELLATIONS (a): Reservations cancelled 30 days in advance or less will be subject to a 30% withholding plus bank and administrative fees. The balance in favor will remain for future reservations.
  • CANCELLATIONS (b): Reservations cancelled 15 days or less in advance will be subject to a 50% withholding plus bank and administrative fees. The balance in favor will remain for future reservations.
  • CANCELLATIONS (c): Reservations cancelled 7 days in advance or less will be charged 100% of the program. There will be no refund/credit balance.

 

Recommendations for the trip:

  • Backpack or small suitcases so that you can carry them yourselves and avoid handling.
    Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) masks, alcohol, repellent, sunscreen.
    Rubber boots and / or rubber because on the hikes you will find mud and animals, for safety is the best footwear. In the Nanay market that is in the port (before embarking) you can buy them, they cost about S./35 each pair, if you do not want to take them with you, you can leave them at the Lodge and then they will be distributed to members of the nearby riverside community.
  • Option: Rent S./ 10 per person during the stay (subject to availability upon arrival at the Lodge).
  • Bathing suit, sandal, fresh clothes, long pants for hiking, flashlight.
    – There is no P.O.S. at the lodge and all meals must be paid in cash.
    – Drinks are not allowed in the Lodge.
