Peru Adventure with Salkantay Trek 13 days/ 12 nights

A.M. Arrival in Lima and transfer to the hotel.

2:45 P.M. Downtown Lima Biking Tour:
Start of the tour from the established meeting point. Visit to the historical center of Lima and the main attractions, such as the main square, San Martin square, Jiron de la Union and San Francisco church. Culture, physical activity and eco-friendly transportation!
Overnight at the Ibis Styles Benavides hotel.

Paracas – Ica 2 days/1 night

4:40 – 5:00 A.M. Pick up from hotels in Miraflores
5:00 – 5:30 A.M. Hotel pick up in Barranco.

After approximately 4 hours of travel we arrive at the bay of Paracas where we get ready to start the tour in the gliders to the Ballestas Islands. During the tour you will see the figure of the Candelabro and marine animals such as sea lions, guano birds, among others and together with the guide you will learn about the curiosities of the marine fauna.

Then we pick you up to visit the Paracas National Reserve, a protected area to safeguard and conserve different species of flora and fauna, as well as to protect the archaeological remains of the Paracas culture. We will visit Playa Roja, Playa Yumaque and the interpretation center where you can find more detailed information about the history of this natural area. We will give you free time for shopping, lunch and return to the hotel in Paracas. Overnight at the Emancipador Hotel.

A.M. Huacachina Tour

Breakfast and you will have part of the morning free.

At 11:00 a.m. approx. we pick you up to continue our trip to Ica, we will stop at a vineyard where you will have lunch with typical dishes of the area and where you can taste the different wines and piscos, you can buy the ones you liked the most!

Then we continue to the Huacachina Oasis. There we will get off the mobility to get on the tubulars that will make us go up and down the endless dunes of Ica. We will also slide with the basic sandboard boards, from the top. After this adrenaline experience you will have enough time to walk around the oasis, take pictures and do the last shopping.
5:30 PM We start our trip home.
10:30 PM Arrival in Lima. Overnight at the Ibis Styles Benavides hotel.

A.M. Arrival in Cusco and then installation at the hotel.

A.M. Start of Salkantay Trek 4 days/ 3 nights

Cusco – Mollepata (Marcoccasa) – Soraypampa

We leave Cusco at 5:00 am, heading to the community of Marcoccasa (3400m / 11154f), passing through the village of Mollepata (3000m / 9843f). Here in Marcoccasa we meet the group of muleteers to start the hike. From Marcoccasa we begin to discover a magnificent valley surrounded by impressive snow-capped mountains, such as the Humantay (5217m / 17116f) and the snow-capped Salkantay (6264m / 20551f). After our lunch we will have a visit to the Humantay lagoon and rest at our campsite is Soraypampa (3900 m.a.s.l / 12795f).

Transportation time: 3 hours 30 minutes.
Weather: moderate and cold during the night.
Hiking time: 6 to 7 hours

Soraypampa – Salkantay Pass – Rayampata

After breakfast we will take the road to the Salkantay Pass (4600m), here, it offers an exceptional view of the snowy Salkantay (6264m). After discovering the high Andean mountains, we enter an ecosystem with lush vegetation. Arriving to Rayampata where we will camp (3300 m.a.s.l.).

Hiking time: 8 hours

Rayampata – Lucmabamba – Hydroelectric Station – Aguas Calientes

We start the day hiking in the remains of the Inca Trail to reach Lucmabamba where we can have lunch and take our car to hydroelectric (1950m), from where we will take the train to our destination for the day, the town of Aguas Calientes (2050 m.a.s.l.), located at the foot of Machu Picchu. Overnight at Waman Machu Picchu hotel in Aguas Calientes.

Hiking time: 6 hours
Weather: Warm during the day, with presence of mosquitoes.

Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco

We leave our hotel after breakfast at 5:30am. A tourist bus takes us to the citadel of Machu Picchu (2400m). We enter the Inca citadel around 6:00am, to enjoy the sunrise. After the guided tour in the archaeological zone, we will have enough time to enjoy Machu Picchu and *Huayna Picchu (2750 m.a.s.l.). Later, we descend to the town of Aguas Calientes to take the train back to Ollantaytambo (14h55 or 18h35).

Before boarding the train, you will have time for lunch. In addition, you could enjoy the hot springs in Aguas Calientes before your departure by train.

P.M. Return train to Ollantaytambo. Transportation from Ollantaytambo to Cusco. Overnight at Anahuarque Hotel.

A.M. Transfer to the bus terminal to take the bus to Puno (Tourist Bus).

7:15 A.M. Departure from Cusco to Puno.
This bus trip includes a guided tour along the route of the sun, where we will visit the Chapel of Andahuaylillas, the archaeological complex of Raqchi, La Raya, the highest part of the “RUTA DEL SOL”, and the Museum of Pucara.

5:30 P.M. Arrival in Puno. Overnight at Hacienda Plaza de Armas Puno hotel.

A.M. Uros and Amantani – Lake Titicaca

08:30 A.M. Departure by motor boat from Puno Port. Visit 2 Floating Islands of the Uros.

10:00 A.M. Departure by motorboat to Amantani Island.

01:00 P.M. Arrival to the port of Amantani Island.

02:00 P.M. Lunch at a local family’s house.

04:00 P.M. 1 hour hike to the highest point of the island: Pachamama temple and Pachatata temple.

06:00 P.M. Return and dinner at the family home.

08:00 P.M. Dance and feast with the people (optional).

Overnight at family house in Amantani Island.

07:00 A.M. Breakfast with the families.

08:00 A.M. Departure by motor boat from Puerto Amantani to Taquile.

09:00 A.M. Visit of the island of Taquile for 3 hours approximately.

Arrival in Puno and free time to enjoy the historical center. Overnight at Hotel Hacienda Plaza de Armas Puno.
