OVERVIEW

A tour where we can visit one of the deepest canyons in the world, the Colca Canyon, and we will have the opportunity to observe the flight of the condor, visit the picturesque town of Chivay. We will also enjoy the thermal baths of Chacapi de Yanque and make a short stop at the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve.

 

HIGHLIGHTS

You will visit the Cruz del Cóndor, here we will have an incredible view of the Colca Canyon and we will observe the majestic flight of the condors.

We will visit the towns of Chivay and Maca, in the latter a local family awaits us for our experiential experience.

Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve to appreciate South American camelids, especially vicuñas.

ITINERARY

3:00 a.m. Beginning of the trip to Colca, our first stop being the volcano viewpoint, the highest point on the entire route, from that point we can observe different volcanoes such as Sabancaya, which is currently active and with fumaroles, Hualca Hualca, Chachani from another point, Misti, etc.

 

Next we will go to Chivay where a good breakfast awaits us to continue our journey to the Mirador de Cruz del Cóndor.

 

Here we can better appreciate the Colca Canyon and enjoy the majestic flight of the condors.

 

We will have short stops at two small viewpoints Antahuilque and Huarapunko. Then we will arrive at the Maca district, where we will visit its church, plaza and we can enjoy the colca sour, a drink made with a fruit native to the place (optional, at the passenger’s expense).

 

Here a local family awaits us to be able to have our experiential experience, they will share with us their daily life, depending on the date we will be part of the planting or harvesting of the products of the area, we will also be able to dress and dance the traditional Colca dance , the wititi, intangible cultural heritage of humanity; We will have lunch (at the expense of the passenger) with a view of the terraces.

 

Then we will go to the thermal baths of Chacapi de Yanque.

 

Finally, we will have a short stop at the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve to appreciate the South American camelids, especially the vicuñas.

 

We will arrive in the center of Arequipa at approximately 6:00 p.m.

 

End of the tour at a central point near the Plaza de Armas.

  • All reservations are confirmed with the payment of 50% of the tour, 4 days before the service. The remaining 50% can be paid on the day of the tour. Last minute bookings please consult us.
  • You can make the payment of your reservation by deposit to our bank accounts, Izipay or PayPal link (which will allow you to pay with cards and PayPal accounts), and in cash (in exceptional cases).
  • Changes and cancellations can be made up to 48 hours after the reservation is made (subject to penalty), after that time no cancellations are allowed, and there are no refunds.
  • The stop en route for lunch is optional, it will depend on the passengers and must be in a place that is en route to Lima. If you make a detour there will be additional costs.
  • Hotel pick-ups are in Miraflores, San Isidro and Downtown Lima, you will be picked up and dropped off at your hotel. Hotel pick up and drop off is at centrally located hotels. Please check if your hotel is on the pick up route before confirming your reservation.
  • The tour is conducted in Spanish and / or English, if in another language please consult.
  • The tour inside the citadel lasts from one hour and a half to 2 hours approximately.
  • The departure time can vary at the client’s request: as long as it fits with the time the citadel closes.
